It may seem simple enough to engineer parts using
CATIA software, but we can also reverse-engineer parts using 3D scanning
technology. A part can be placed in our 3D scanning chamber to create
a virtual replica
.
The part is placed inside the chamber and rotated as a laser scans thousands
of locations on the part. These locations are then stored as a cloud
of points that can be used by a variety of software applications to
build a computerized model of the part.
