This course covers how to add “knowledge” to parts and products. This allows for parts and products to be more adaptable to various situations in the overall design process. Emphasis is made on the creation of robust documents that will be reusable in most situations.

Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to work with parameters and formulas; create design tables; store items in a catalog; create powercopies; create user defined features; utilize rules, checks, actions and reactions; organize parameters and relations; use sets of equations; and create expert rules and checks.
